privacy@appsvanta.comFeature requests, new file types, or anything you wish the app did.
feedback@appsvanta.comMarkdown (.md, .markdown, .mdown, .mkd), JSON (.json, .jsonl, .ndjson), YAML (.yaml, .yml), and CSV/TSV (.csv, .tsv).
Open any of these in Finder with the spacebar, or drag them onto the Quick Peek window.
On first launch, Quick Peek installs its Quick Look extension system-wide. To enable it manually:
Open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Quick Look, and turn on Quick Peek.
Then select a supported file in Finder and press Space.
Yes. All previewing functionality — Markdown, JSON, YAML, CSV, Quick Look, find-in-document, themes, recents, pinned files — is free forever, with no ads, no accounts, and no nags.
Quick Peek Pro ($9.99 one-time) unlocks editing and saving for every supported file type. There's no subscription and you don't need it to view files.
Open Quick Peek, go to Settings → Quick Peek Pro, and click Restore Purchase. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to buy Pro originally and your unlock will reactivate.
Pro is non-consumable and supports Family Sharing, so anyone in your Apple family group can also restore it on their own Mac at no extra cost.
If Restore Purchase still doesn't activate Pro, email billing@appsvanta.com with your Apple ID region and approximate purchase date.
No. Quick Peek collects no analytics, no telemetry, and no personal data. We do not use third-party SDKs. Files you open are read from your local disk only when you preview them, and never transmitted anywhere.
Network access is used solely by Apple's StoreKit framework to verify Pro purchases. See the full privacy policy, or write to privacy@appsvanta.com for anything more specific.
Quick Peek requires macOS 26.2 or later. It runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Yes — feature requests drive a lot of the roadmap. Send us what you'd like to see at feedback@appsvanta.com.
We're especially interested in file formats developers and writers actually deal with day to day.
Standard macOS user defaults under com.appsvanta.QuickPeek. Themes, recents, and pinned files are all kept locally on your Mac and never synced to any server.
Drag the Quick Peek app from /Applications to the Trash. The Quick Look extension is bundled inside the app, so removing the app removes the extension too.
Sandbox preferences clean up automatically the next time macOS rebuilds its preference cache.
